Landhaus Tanner is ideally located for excursions to various Christmas markets in Chiemgau and Salzburg. For example, visit the famous Christmas market on the cathedral square or Hellbrunn (only 20 km by car). Romantic Christmas markets also await you in Waging, Traunstein and on the Fraueninsel on Lake Chiemsee. On Sunday, 23 November 2025, we will be hosting a lovely Christmas market in our courtyard with lots of small stalls and regional delicacies. (Insight from 2024)

If you fancy a breath of cool winter air, you can look forward to romantic walks along Lake Waginger and Lake Taching, e.g. from Tengling to Tettenhausen. Right next to our hotel is the Mühlberg, from where you have a great view of the Waginger See region after just a 20-minute walk. We can also recommend a hike to Maria Tann and the Balthasar wooden chapel. In the region we have many cross-country ski trails, sledging hills and the ski slopes can also be reached quickly by car. After a sporty winter’s day, a fire bowl, mulled wine, children’s punch or mulled gin await you in the courtyard.
