Spring awakening in Waging am See
Enjoyment, sunshine, and modern Alpine cuisine
When the first rays of sunshine reflect off Lake Waging, there’s no stopping us. Nature awakens in Chiemgau, bikes are taken out of storage, and here at Landhaus Tanner, we eagerly anticipate the warm season. A spring vacation in Bavaria is perfect for recharging your batteries. Where better to do that than at the warmest lake in Upper Bavaria?
Country life with new momentum
We reinterpret country life every day. For us, spring in Waging means not only blooming meadows, but above all freshness on our plates. Tradition is very important in our kitchen. Nevertheless, we combine genuine craftsmanship with a pinch of sophistication. The result? Modern Alpine cuisine that is light, creative, and delicious.
Slow food & regional heroes
As advocates of the slow food philosophy, we give ingredients the time they need. Whether it’s the first tender wild garlic from the meadows or freshly caught fish from the lake – only the best from the region ends up in our pots and pans. Regional products and sustainability are not just buzzwords for us, but the foundation of our fine restaurant cuisine. We know exactly where our meat comes from and which partner supplied the vegetables. You can taste it in every bite.
Outdoors at home: Terrace season is open
The highlight of spring? The first sip of a cool, freshly tapped beer from the Hofbräuhaus Traunstein under the open sky. Our sun terrace surrounded by greenery is the perfect spot for anyone who loves outdoor dining. Those who prefer a more rustic setting will find what they are looking for in our mini beer garden under chestnut trees. A little shade, lots of fresh air, and delicious food. That’s the Bavarian way of life.
Celebrate and enjoy together
Spring is also the season for celebrations. Are you planning a family celebration, a communion, or are you still looking for the perfect wedding location on Lake Waging? We offer the perfect setting for your special moments. In our cozy lounge and modern restaurant area for up to 100 guests.
And if you want to try your hand at cooking, our popular cooking classes with Franz Tanner are back for another round! For groups, simply request your desired date.
Bottom line: pack your bags and come on over. Whether you want to hike in Chiemgau, go cycling, or simply feast, we look forward to seeing you!
