The Landhaus Tanner is ideally located for trips to various Christmas markets in Chiemgau and Salzburg. Visit, for example, the famous Christkindlmarkt on Domplatz or Hellbrunn (only 20 km by car). Romantic Christmas markets also await you in Waging, Traunstein, and on Fraueninsel on Lake Chiemsee. On Sunday, November 23, 2025, we will be hosting a charming Christmas market in our courtyard with lots of small stalls and regional delicacies. (Preview from 2024)

If you enjoy breathing in the cool winter air, you can look forward to romantic walks along Lake Waging and Lake Taching, e.g. from Tengling to Tettenhausen. Right next to our hotel is the Mühlberg, from where you can enjoy a fantastic view of the Lake Waging region after just a 20-minute walk. We can also recommend a hike to Maria Tann and the Balthasar wooden chapel. There are many cross-country ski trails and sledding hills in the region, and the ski slopes are also within easy reach by car. After an active winter day, a fire pit, mulled wine, children’s punch, or mulled gin await you in the courtyard.
