The Landhaus Tanner Hotel nestles on the edge of the town of Waging am See in a beautiful countryside in the heart of Bavaria, only a few kilometres away from the city of Salzburg. We live here a contemporary country life. We are passionate about proving culinary delights and other life’s little pleasures in harmony with nature.
The former humble inn has been transformed over time into a hotel combining modern facilities with traditional features. We provide a spa area with an Alpine ambiance as well as modern bedrooms and junior suites with views over the natural surroundings. Throughout the hotel, there are numerous lovely details to discover. Our guests can indulge themselves with extraordinary culinary delights, yet cooked with a down-to-earth approach. Tanner's Blog

The husband and wife team Franz and Stefanie Tanner are your friendly, genuine and always busy hosts. Franz, the head chef, runs the kitchen, always eager to track the latest food trends. Being a passionate defender of slow-food, he knows personally each of his suppliers. Stefanie, for whom nothing is too much trouble, welcomes and looks after the guests. She has a fine sense for anticipating the guests’ needs, always brightening the atmosphere up with her contagious laugh, perhaps the heartiest one in the entire “Chiemgau” county.

we have summarised all the latest information for you here:

New opening hours from March, we are also open again on Wednesday lunchtime:

Monday to Tuesday open from 5.30 p.m. (Warm cuisine until 9.00 p.m.)
Wednesday to Friday: Hot food from 12.30 p.m. to 9.00 p.m.
Saturday: Warm cuisine 12.00 p.m. to 9.00 p.m.
Sunday: Day off

Please note that we have a break for service and kitchen between 5.00 and 5.30 p.m.

24th – 26th December

Please note the 3G-regulation for hotels and restaurants:
-double vaccination + identity card
-Admission only with certificate of convalescence, not older than 3 months and identity card
-Quick test with proof not older than 24 hours + identity card. (Hotel guests must provide proof of a rapid test every 72 hours.) Please note that we do not carry out rapid tests on site.
-FFP2 mask requirement

We are required to strictly screen each individual, if you do not have the proof with you we will have to refuse entry.

As the health and safety of all our guests and staff is our top priority, you will find an overview of our current hygiene measures here, as well as our cancellation conditions, which are designed to be as flexible as possible for you. So that you can spend your well-deserved holiday at Landhaus Tanner with a safe feeling.

The Landhaus Tanner nestles in the rolling landscape of the Alpine foothills surround-ed by woodlands and prairies, close to shore of Lake “Waginger See”, the warmest lake in Bavaria. The “Chiemgau” county provides excellent conditions for activity holidays. Those who like walking can climb the peaks of the “Chiemgau Alps”. Cyclists and mountain bikers can explore the area at their own pace on a network of waymarked cycle trails, which extends to 1,200 kilometres. Lake “Chiemsee” is very popular with sailors and wind-surfers. In the surroundings of the hotel, there are nine golf courses where golf players are welcome to improve their skills.
